Six Rules To Success | Motivation
Absolutely no way around hard, hard work
Now I know Arnold Schwarzenegger isn’t connected to hip-hop but this is such an awesome motivation video not to post. Six great rules to consider in order to be successful. The speech was taken from the 2010 Emory Commencement Ceremony.
Favorite quote from this clip:
You sleep 6 hours, you have 18 hours left. Now I know some of you out there say ‘but wait a minute I sleep 8 or 9 hours’ – well then just sleep faster I would recommend.

Motivation | How Bad Do You Want It?
How Bad Do You Want It from Greyskale Multimedia LLC on Vimeo.
This video has been making its rounds around the web lately and rightfully so. Such a great message, if you really want to be successful, go out and and show it’ don’t just talk about it. The amount of effort you put in everyday is up to you, but if you really want to be successful, you’ve got to put in the work.
When you get to the point where all you want to be is successful as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful.
The amount of work you put in is up to you, you have to determine how bad you want it; but there is no way around it, hard work, dedication is key to success.
The original background audio is from this video:
Couple great takeaways at the very end:
you’ve got to have heart [to be successful]
The most important thing is this: to be able at any moment to sacrifice what you are for what you will become.

Buckwild Tells The Story Behind His Classics
Though one of the most slept on producers in hip-hop, Buckwild crafted a slew of bangers in his career. Though most known producing for the equally slept on Diggin’ In The Crates (D.I.T.C.) crew, he also produced for the likes of Biggie, Nas, and Jay-Z. Buckwild sits down with Complex Magazine to talk about some of his best work. It’s crazy to hear about how Big Pun went in on on Jay-Z on the Terror Squad track “Rudeboy Salute”, only to have it taken out later, or to hear Buckwild tell how Jay-Z and Memphis Bleek passed on the Black Rob banger “Whoa”.

9th Wonder Tells the Story Behind His Classics
9th Wonder has the uncanny ability to produce tracks with the sound of Golden Era boom bap hip hop yet that still hold their own in todays music. Complex magazine sits down with 9th as he discusses the story behind some of his classic tracks. in there you’ll find some ill insights such as when he talks about meeting Jay-Z:
Jay-Z was at the time the biggest rapper out. What do I make of all this? I didn’t really make anything of it. It was surreal. I just went and played him 29 beats.
“Jay kept a poker face on the first two, but on the next 27, he was just like, ‘Man, kid, where do you come from?’ Then he said, ‘We got to go.’ He asked me where I was from and everything, and I remember Beyonce saying, ‘I really like your music.’ They both left, then 30 seconds later, he came back, and said, ‘Yo, man, can I have that beat CD?’ Then he asked me to come back on Monday.
